The 3rd Annual Rob Millisor Heart Health Walk

Saturday, June 9 at Carter Park in Breckenridge

8:30 am – 1:00 pm

Now in its third year, The Rob Millisor Heart Health Walk is a tribute to the late owner/developer of Breckenridge Grand Vacations who suffered a fatal heart attack in October 2015 while on a humanitarian trip to earthquake-stricken Nepal.  Funds raised through the Walk are dedicated to supporting heart health programs, education and research in our community.  This family-friendly event includes a 5k walk, 5k trail run and an in-town 1-mile walk loop.  Register by 10:00 pm on Thursday, June 7th and you will be entered in a drawing to win one of ten Fitbits!  On-site registration and check-in begins on Saturday, June 9 at 8:30 am.

To date, nearly $278,000 has been awarded to a variety of projects and programs in Summit County.  St. Anthony Summit Medical Center has received support for their new High Altitude Research Center, the free community cholesterol screening program, Infant CPR Anytime kits for new parents and a heart defibrillator for the Emergency Department.  Also funded are Heart Healthy cooking classes at Colorado Mountain College; the CATCH Afterschool Program at the Keystone Science School; an AED unit for the new dental clinic at the Summit Community Care Clinic; a community CPR Program through Starting Hearts; and support for international health needs through Doctors to the World.
